Company
Who are we?
Close Call Company is a young Belgium based circus company. The founding artists and makers are Julia Gut (CH) and Raff Pringuet (BE). They both graduated from Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam in 2021, Julia specializing in static trapeze and Raff in acro-juggling.
Close Call Company is currently working on two shows:
'Just the Moon': a black box show in which Raff shares the stage with a Moving head lamp. (2024-2025)
'Momentum': An outside show where Julia and Jonas Bolliger explore the in between space of trapeze and floor, air and earth. (2025-2026)
Besides creating cirus performances, Close Call Company also designs and makes costumes for other shows and companies.

Just the Moon
Creation 2024/2025 - Premiere 13 December 2025, Leuven
A mesmerizing duet between an acro-juggler and an automated lamp.
In "Just the Moon", Raff Pringuet shares the stage with a moving head in a captivating exploration of human-machine collaboration. This unique performance fuses the art of juggling with cutting-edge light technology, creating a visual spectacle where body, ball, and light orbit in perfect harmony.
A 45-minute piece made for a frontal black box setting, cccessible for everyone from 8 years old and up.
Momentum
Creation 2026/2027 - Premiere May 2027, Leuven
This project is a contemporary circus production by artist Julia Gut, combining static trapeze and floor acrobatics to explore the dynamic interplay between these two elements. The show centers around the concept of “the space in between”—physically, thematically, and metaphorically.
A 30-minute piece primarily made for outside, accessible for everyone aged 4 and up.
